    About Mental Ed

    Mental Ed is a nonprofit organization committed to making mental health education accessible, relatable, and empowering—especially for underserved youth and communities of color. Through interactive lesson plans, community outreach, and social media advocacy, we equip people with the tools to better understand themselves and support others.

    We’re currently seeking passionate, creative, and organized Interns to support our mission while gaining valuable experience in the nonprofit and mental health education space.

    Intern Responsibilities May Include:

    • Assisting with the creation and editing of mental health lesson plans for middle and high school students
    • Supporting social media content development and scheduling
    • Conducting outreach to schools and community partners
    • Organizing digital files and tracking data for program impact
    • Attending biweekly virtual team check-ins
    • Collaborating on special projects aligned with the intern’s skills and interests

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Passionate about mental health, education, and social impact
    • A strong communicator, both written and verbal
    • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
    • Comfortable using (or willing to learn) tools like Google Drive, Canva, Notion, or similar platforms
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines

    Internship Details:

    • Hours: 5–10 hours/week
    • Length: September–November 2025 (flexible start and end dates)
    • Location: Remote
    • Compensation: Unpaid (with opportunities for professional development, mentorship, and future paid roles as funding allows)
    • Eligibility: Open to high school seniors, college students, or recent graduates
