    Job Title: Product Owner

    Reports to: CEO

Location: Remote (WFH) / Unpaid Volunteer Position

    About the Organization:

Menzies Philanthropic Foundation (Menzies Mission) is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting orphans and vulnerable families through resources, education, and holistic development rooted in the Menzies 7 Keys of Needs (Housing, Health & Nutrition, Education, Safety, Family, Faith, and Love). Believing that self-actualization can break cycles of poverty and trauma, we provide mental and emotional support, healing-centered guidance, and programs that help individuals realize their potential and transform their future.

In partnership with our social-impact company, Me Is We, we are developing a regenerative financial ecosystem to ensure long-term sustainability and expansion for our mission. At the heart of this ecosystem is My Source Network—a global holistic wellness community platform for healing and mindful connection. Through practitioners, conscious events, and transformational resources, MSN supports individuals on their journeys toward balance, empowerment, and belonging, cultivating a worldwide community rooted in healing, authenticity, and collaboration.

We are an impact-driven organization that values innovation, accountability, and collaboration. If you are passionate about meaningful work and creating scalable positive change, we would be honored to have you join our team.

    Job Overview:

The Product Owner at the project My Source Network will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital platform. You will be responsible for defining and driving the product vision, managing the product backlog, and ensuring that the development team delivers features and enhancements that align with the organization’s mission. Working closely with the CEO, stakeholders, and development teams, you will ensure the successful delivery of digital solutions that facilitate healing and growth for users across the platform.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Product Vision & Strategy:
    • Define and communicate a product vision that supports the organization’s mission of holistic healing and eco-regenerative communities. Ensure alignment with the needs of our users and stakeholders, particularly within the non-profit sector.
    • Backlog Management:
    • Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria are clearly defined and aligned with the organization's goals.
    • Agile Leadership:
    • Collaborate with the development team in an Agile environment. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to guide product development and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including practitioners, users, and non-profit partners. Communicate progress, gather feedback, and align product development with user needs and organizational objectives.
    • Release Planning & Delivery:
    • Plan and manage product releases to ensure the timely delivery of new features and improvements. Coordinate with the marketing and outreach teams to successfully launch and communicate new capabilities to the community.
    • Customer & Market Feedback:
    • Regularly gather and analyze user feedback, market trends, and data to continually refine and improve the product. Focus on enhancing user experiences related to holistic healing and wellness journeys.
    • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with product development and delivery, balancing the need for innovation with organizational stability and sustainability.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
    • Experience:
      • 3-5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in a digital or software development environment, preferably with experience in non-profit, wellness, or community-focused platforms.
      • Proven experience working within an Agile framework (Scrum or Kanban).
    • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of software development processes and the ability to work effectively with technical teams. Experience with backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, etc.).
    • Communication & Leadership:
    • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams. Ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
    • Customer Focus & Empathy:
    • Deep understanding of customer needs, particularly in the fields of holistic healing, wellness, and trauma-informed care. Ability to translate these needs into actionable product requirements.
    • Analytical & Strategic Thinking:
    • Strong problem-solving abilities, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments. Experience with gathering and analyzing user data to drive product enhancements.
