    Description

    We’re seeking a Volunteer Social Media Coordinator to help manage and grow our social media presence. You’ll use your creativity and passion for nature to share inspiring stories, promote native seeds, and engage a community of gardeners, conservationists, and wildlife lovers. Your work will directly help generate funding for large-scale native habitat projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and schedule posts across our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram; potentially expanding to TikTok, Pinterest, etc.)
    • Create engaging content such as photos, reels, stories, and graphics (templates and assets provided)
    • Monitor and respond to comments/messages to foster community engagement
    • Collaborate with our team to plan seasonal campaigns, promotions, and educational posts
    • Track social media trends and suggest creative ways to increase reach and engagement
    • Report on basic metrics (reach, engagement, followers) to help guide future content

    Qualifications

    • Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Instagram Reels, Facebook Business Suite)
    • Good written communication skills with a friendly, inspiring tone
    • Interest in native plants, biodiversity, gardening, or conservation (experience not required but a plus)
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently with light guidance
    • Ability to dedicate 4–6 hours per week
