    Description

    After School Action Program Assistant

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for our After School Action Program (ASAP). ASAP is a free, volunteer-run program that provides children of all backgrounds a safe, structured, and attentive environment during after-school hours. ASAP volunteers help our students with homework, lead constructive and educational class activities, prepare and serve wholesome after-school meals, and provide firm but compassionate classroom leadership.

Do you have a passion or an exciting skillset you'd like to share with us? We welcome and encourage curriculum contributions from volunteers. Volunteers can develop and lead age-appropriate activities teaching skills and concepts in science, technology, visual and performing arts, computing, world cultures, and more!

ASAP is housed at our location (1001 Dakin St.) in the Potter-Walsh Neighborhood on the Eastside of Lansing and runs from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, Monday through Thursday during the school year.
