HavenHouse St. Louis provides the comfort of home and a community of support for patients of all ages, families, and caregivers who travel to St. Louis for medical care. Many of our guests are far from home while navigating treatment, long hospital stays, or unexpected medical challenges. We exist to ease that burden by offering comfort, stability, and a sense of normalcy during a difficult season.

Volunteers are a vital part of what makes HavenHouse feel like home. A clean, calm, and thoughtfully cared for space helps our guests feel respected, safe, and supported. Whether you’re folding laundry, making a bed, or tidying shared spaces, your time and care make a meaningful difference every single day.

Time Commitment

• Flexible scheduling based on volunteer availability
• Shifts typically range from 2–4 hours
• Weekday availability preferred (exact days/times coordinated with staff)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with light cleaning of common areas (kitchen, dining areas, living spaces)
• Help maintain guest rooms by changing linens and tidying spaces as needed
• Support laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels
• Replenish basic supplies (paper products, toiletries, cleaning supplies)
• Organize storage areas and supply closets when needed
• Follow all of HavenHouse's guidelines
• Communicate with staff about completed tasks or any maintenance concerns
