    Description

    Community Fridge Food Rescue Volunteer

    Do you have a car, some spare time, and a heart for helping others? Help us fight food insecurity one delivery at a time! Roots for Life is seeking reliable volunteers to assist with picking up food donations and delivering them to our community fridge in NW DC. Some donation pick-ups are in Virginia.

    What you will do:

    • Pick up donations from local businesses
    • Transport items to our community fridge
    • Keep a brief log of pick-ups and drop offs

    What we're looking for:

    • access to a reliable car
    • ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
    • dependable, communicative, and punctual
    • passion for food equity and community care
