The Volunteer Manager will play a key leadership role in coordinating and supporting our team of volunteers. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, people-oriented, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. Working closely with leadership, the Volunteer Manager will help recruit, train, and retain volunteers, ensuring they have a positive and meaningful experience while supporting FSP Against Bullying’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, screen, and onboard new volunteers.
- Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments.
- Support, mentor, and motivate volunteers to ensure engagement and retention.
- Maintain volunteer records and track participation hours.
- Serve as the main point of contact for volunteers, addressing questions or concerns.
- Recognize and celebrate volunteer contributions.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify volunteer needs for programs, events, and special projects.
- Provide regular updates and reports on volunteer activities and engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Experience in volunteer coordination, human resources, or team leadership (preferred, not required).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a virtual environment.
- Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and online collaboration tools.
- Passion for FSP Against Bullying’s mission and commitment to supporting others.
Time Commitment
- Approximately 4 hours per week (flexible schedule).
- Occasional participation in virtual meetings or events.
