    About Young STEAMers

Young STEAMers is a San Francisco Bay Area nonprofit dedicated to inspiring children to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM). We provide free, high-impact STEAM education to low-income children ages 4–14, and STEM career guidance to youth ages 14–24. Our hands-on programs spark curiosity, build confidence, and open pathways to opportunity - because a child’s zip code should never define their future.

In this role, you will identify, connect with, and recruit qualified candidates (college students, graduate students, and early-career professionals) who are excited to inspire the next generation. Your outreach will directly strengthen our capacity to deliver fun, hands-on STEAM classes for underserved youth.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement creative strategies to recruit interns and paid STEAM instructors.

    • Screen prospective candidates and coordinate introductions with the Young STEAMers team.
    • Maintain communication with potential recruits and track outreach efforts.

    Qualifications

    • Experience with recruitment and HR
    • Strong communication and networking skills.
    • Enthusiasm for education, youth empowerment, and community building.
    • Organizational skills and ability to manage outreach efforts independently.

    What You’ll Gain
