    Description

    Art Room Teacher - Shirley Meadows (Recurring)

    Program Summary: Shirley Meadows House is seeking an experienced art room teacher to host a series of art programs. Many residents are seeking the opportunity to create elaborate works of art in an advanced art class setting. A volunteer would prepare a thoughtful project, supervise the art studio, socialize with residents,and provide clear and constructive advice to residents seeking to recreate the original project.

    Locations: Shirley Meadows: 27 Hospital Rd, Devens, MA 01464

    Key responsibilities:

    • Prepare an Art Project
    • Teach class in easy to follow steps
    • Supervise the art space, unlocking and locking the space, ensuring that residents' projects and property are secure.
    • Socialize with residents
    • Offer artistic advice and ideas as needed or requested

    Impact Goal: The program intends to promote social connection, provide opportunity for creativity, and challenge inspired artists to hone their craft

    Qualifications:

    • 18 years of age or older
    • Some experience creating art and interest in sharing a passion for art
    • Willingness to help, flexibility, and patience
    • Reliability
