    Drive Hope Forward: Volunteer to Drive Cancer Patients to Treatment!

    Location: Omaha Hope Lodge

    Organization: American Cancer Society

    Help reduce barriers to care for cancer patients undergoing treatment by becoming a Volunteer Driver with the Hope Lodge Courtesy Shuttle Service. Your time and compassion can make a life-changing difference-ensuring patients get to and from their appointments safely and comfortably.

    What You’ll Do:
    • Transport guests between Hope Lodge and nearby treatment centers
    • Drive a Hope Lodge-owned vehicle-no personal car required
    • Volunteer shifts available Monday-Friday, 4-8 PM
    Requirements:
    • Age 19-84
    • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
    • Pass background and motor vehicle records checks
    • Complete online training and sign a confidentiality agreement
    • Willingness to wear a mask if asked (to protect immunocompromised guests)
    • If a cancer survivor, must be one year post-treatment
