    Description

Academic Tutor for Students @ East Palo Alto Nonprofit

Our academic tutors guide and teach the youth of East Palo Alto to ensure opportunities for hope and a future. During the school year, Hope Horizon East Palo Alto offers homework assistance and additional support in reading, writing, math, and other academic skills.

Tutors play an essential role in a student’s academic growth. They work 1:1 with K-12 students to complete homework and bring them to grade level in reading and math. No prior experience is needed.

Tutor weekly, or twice a month, in person at Hope Horizon East Palo Alto. Hours vary depending on the grade level, but typical program days are Monday-Thursday, 4-6 pm. All volunteers are required to pass a background check. If you have further questions, please contact our volunteer coordinator: volunteer@hopehorizonepa.org.
