Our Korean-speaking club offers an opportunity for Korean speakers in the building to connect through prompts and current events. We are looking for a friendly and social volunteer to host this club and spark a conversation!

Location(s): Brighton Campus, 30 Wallingford Rd, Brighton, MA 02135

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Spend time socializing with residents in Korean and using conversation to help residents connect with their neighbors around their culture.
    • Ask thoughtful questions to residents and encourage them to share

    Impact Goal:

    • The goal of Discussion groups is to promote social connection for residents and to provide an opportunity for cultural expression and relationship building.

    Qualifications:

    • Friendly, outgoing, and welcoming attitude
    • A desire to help residents learn English and the ability to keep a conversation going, based on residents' ability.

Schedule/Time Commitment: Bi-weekly or once a month for 1 hr. Day of the week and time is flexible.

Number of Volunteers: Looking for 2 volunteers. Sign up as an individual or as a small group.

Benefits: Obtain experience working with older adults, cultivate new intergenerational friendships. Help a resident connect with their neighbors, given shared language and cultural factors. Socialize with other volunteers.
