In many African communities, poverty and tradition push children into adult roles far too early, becoming parents, spouses, or laborers as young as age 12. Education is often cut short, and support is limited.

That’s why we created the Pen Pal Program, a simple yet powerful way for caring individuals like you to uplift these children through letters filled with hope, encouragement, and guidance. Just 20 to 30 minutes a week or month can make a lasting impact.

Your letters can include messages on topics such as education, healthcare, culture, the environment, and warm wishes for important moments, like exams, birthdays, and celebrations such as Christmas for Christians and Eid for Muslims.

You’ll be matched with a child based on your availability and interests, and their age, gender, dream job, favorite color, pet, and activities. We currently have over 5,000 children waiting to connect.
