    Description

Homeless Action Sonoma, Inc.(HAS) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization operating in Sonoma Valley dedicated to serving the homeless in this area. We need a few new board members to lead our organization to fulfill its important mission. We operate a small low barrier emergency shelter with 20 tiny homes at 18820 Hwy 12. Besides the 20 clients living at the Home & Safe Village, we serve over 90 homeless helping them with cell phones, EBT cards, MediCal, and physical/mental health. We enroll those that are eligible in our county system designed to help them with housing.

We need board members with experience who can assist with grant writing and reporting, website and monthly newsletters, fundraising and marketing. We meet twice a month on Wednesdays from 4 to 6 pm. Much of our work is accomplished remotely via zoom or by phone and text. HAS is the only operating emergency shelter in the City of Sonoma community.

Please respond directly to Dr. Ted Nordquist, Executive Director. Email him your resume or a background summary with your contact information. He will give you a tour of HAS Village and answer your questions. 707-235-3986 or tedn@hassonoma.org.
