Heart of Compassion's mission is to be a lighthouse of volunteers fighting poverty and restoring hope.

Founded in 1993 by Pastor Eric Tietze, Heart of Compassion (HOC) Distribution is a 501(c)(3) food bank and social service organization. HOC works to alleviate hunger, food insecurities and the suffering of those who have fallen on hard times.

As a Food Bank Support Volunteer, you will prep food items for public distribution to help alleviate food insecurity in Los Angeles County.

This is an in-person role averaging 4 hours per week. Available shifts; Monday - Friday 8 am - 12 pm.

Volunteer will sort produce items, help prepare food bags, load food bags into shopping carts, and load recipient vehicles with groceries.
