Science fair is an educational opportunity that encourages students in grade 6-12 in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education. Science fair teaches all students critical thinking and project planning skills. This research paper competition is virtual using your own browser and internet connection.
We need 150 virtual judges to help at the 88th Annual Twin Cities Regional Science Fairs Research Paper Competition held virtually February 8-17, 2026. Sign up on our website or call or email for more information.
Judges should also have a minimum of a bachelors degree in science or engineering or more than 5 years work experience.
We need help judging student research papers at your leisure February 8-17, 2026. Score and leave any comments for the students.

We never share your data. It is used only for science fair. We communicate primarily by email. Please enjoy helping our all-volunteer organization encourage students in science and technology. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 educational non-profit.
The virtual research paper competition is at tcrsf.zfairs.com. We also have an in-person opportunity to judge projects at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds coliseum on Friday, February 27, 2026. Judges for either or both competitions, pull down the Create Account from the top and choose Judge. On this site, do not use your email address or any punctuation in the User Name that you choose. Virtual research paper judging on this site is Feb. 8-17 at your leisure. Scoring is online using your own device.

Thank you for your interest in judging for the Twin Cities Regional Science Fairs!
We are an ALL VOLUNTEER 501c3 educational non-profit! Your volunteering definitely makes a difference! Our goal is to encourage students in grades 6-12 in STEM research. We need judges for our research paper competition hosted on https://tcrsf.zfairs.com from Feb. 8-17. Judges read student papers and score and leave comments for the students using your own device and internet connection on your own schedule during the days given. Students gain insight from judge comments, they win a ribbon based on their score.
We do ask that you have a minimum of a bachelor's degree or 5+ years full time experience in STEM. If in doubt, please email and ask. To judge virtual research papers, please go to tcrsf.zfairs.com and register as a judge. (Create Account – pull down to Judge – register and save at the bottom. Judge tab lists the sessions you can judge. Additional Questions tab only applies to in-person judging of projects.) Our students are in grades 6-12. There is a place to indicate that you are only judging virtual research papers.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have. We NEVER use your information for anything but science fair.

We also have an in-person science fair that we need judges for at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in the North End Event Center – judging is Friday, February 27, 4PM to 8 PM (free parking & catered dinner for all in-person judges & volunteers).
