    Job Overview:

    The Mentee Intake Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process for mentees joining VPMMA’s mentoring program. This individual will manage the mentee intake process, assess the needs of mentees, and facilitate mentor-mentee matching to support the professional growth of veterans and military spouses in project management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review and process mentee applications, ensuring all required information is collected.
    • Conduct brief initial assessments to understand mentee career goals and mentorship needs.
    • Provide mentees with an overview of the program, expectations, and next steps.
    • Document mentee details and preferences to support the mentor-matching process.
    • Coordinate with the Mentor Coordinator to ensure a smooth transition from intake to mentor assignment.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    Essential:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
    • Passion for supporting veterans and military families.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Proficiency in using online communication and data management tools.
    • Understanding of mentorship and career development processes.

    Desired:

    • Experience in career coaching, mentorship, or program coordination.
    • Familiarity with veteran transition challenges.
    • Background in project management or related fields.
