Join us for an unforgettable evening on the Thames, supporting educational equality.

Teach First’s flagship event Run the River is back – and we’re looking for energetic, enthusiastic volunteers to help bring this iconic twilight run to life.

As a volunteer, you’ll be part of a vibrant team creating an unforgettable experience for thousands of runners raising vital funds to build a fairer future for young people.

Volunteer roles include:

• Welcoming and registering runners
• Handing out medals at the finish line
• Supporting with crowd guidance and wayfinding
• Helping in the event village
• Cheering runners on along the route

All roles will be assigned on the day and full briefing will be provided. No previous experience needed – just bring your energy and a smile!

What you'll get:

• A sandwich bag (light refreshments provided)
• The chance to be part of a powerful, positive community event
• A meaningful way to support a great cause – and have fun doing it

What you need to know:

• You must be 18 or over to volunteer
• You’ll be on your feet for several hours – wear comfortable shoes and clothing
• If you have mobility or accessibility needs, let us know when signing up – we’ll do our best to accommodate
