    Description

    Are you passionate about making a difference in the mental health lives of minority community members, especially new parents and first responders? Mindful-Well, CDC is inviting dedicated professionals like you to join our Board of Directors and help us create a positive impact in the Greater Philadelphia area.

    As a Board Member, you will play a crucial role in guiding Mindful-Well, CDC towards achieving its mission and vision. Your leadership and expertise will help shape the organization’s strategies, programs, and initiatives to better serve our community.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strategic Leadership: Help set the long-term goals and strategies of the organization.
    • Governance: Ensure the organization adheres to its mission, values, and legal obligations.
    • Advocacy: Promote Mindful-Well, CDC’s mission within the community and beyond.
    • Fundraising and Resource Development: Assist in securing funding through grants, donations, and fundraising events.
    • Financial Oversight: Review and approve budgets, financial statements, and ensure responsible use of resources.
    • Program Support: Provide insights and guidance on program development and evaluation.
    • Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and other organizations.

    Qualifications and Skills

    We are looking for individuals who:

    • Have a Passion for Mental Health: A deep commitment to improving mental health outcomes for minority communities, particularly new parents and first responders.
    • Professional Expertise: Experience in nonprofit management, finance, law, community organizing, or related fields.
    • Cultural Responsiveness: Understanding and sensitivity to the unique challenges faced by minority populations.
    • Leadership Skills: Ability to provide strategic guidance and support to the organization.
    • Commitment: Willingness to dedicate 2 years of leadership and effort to board meetings, events, and organizational activities.
