    Description:

The Slum Child Foundation, based in Nairobi, Kenya, is a youth-focused nonprofit working to empower communities through education, advocacy, and drug prevention programs. As part of our upcoming Afri-Asia Drug Prevention and Treatment Summit (27–28 October 2025, All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi), we are seeking a dedicated Virtual Personal Assistant Volunteer to support the Founder and leadership team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to global advocacy efforts, gain practical experience in NGO operations, and work directly with international partners and leaders in the field of drug prevention, public health, and social development.

    Key Responsibilities

      • Manage and organize emails, calendars, and meeting schedules for the Founder.
      • Prepare, edit, and format letters, emails, and reports for partner communication.
      • Assist in coordinating online meetings, drafting minutes, and maintaining task trackers.
      • Support communication and logistics for the Afri-Asia Drug Prevention and Treatment Summit.
      • Conduct light research and compile briefing materials on partners, speakers, and topics.
      • Maintain organized digital records and contact databases.
      • Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.

    Qualifications

      • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
      • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
      • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) or Microsoft Office tools.
      • Ability to work independently with professionalism and discretion.
      • Passion for community service, youth empowerment, or global health advocacy.
      • Prior experience in administration, communication, or event coordination (an asset but not required).

    Commitment

      • Flexible remote schedule (approximately 5–8 hours per week).
      • Duration: October–December 2025, with the possibility of extension.

    Benefits

      • Gain hands-on experience working with an international NGO and global summit.
      • Receive a Certificate of Service and Letter of Recommendation upon completion.
      • Build professional networks in global health, drug prevention, and youth empowerment.
      • Contribute to meaningful work that positively impacts vulnerable communities.
