    Description

    Ethnic Minority Role Model & Mentor

    R2S matches ethnic minority female and male volunteer role models with young people to provide positive inspirational and motivational workshops, alongside sharing stories of their journey to succeed in their chosen careers.

    Routes2Success will reach 600 ethnic minority young people to provide positive role models from similar backgrounds, supporting with careers advice, entrepreneurial skills, making positive choices and guidance to overcome obstacles and those who are most affected will have dedicated mentors.

    The main outcomes of the programme are that the role models will:

    • Inspire through life experiences and experiential opportunities;
    • Communicate by providing opportunities for pathway challenges and opportunities;
    • Share best practice and offer tips and access opportunities for success.

    Young people will be reached through:

    • Schools and colleges
    • Youth organisations
    • Other professional agencies working with young BAME people
