    Description

    Summary:

    We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Grant Writer. The primary responsibilities of this role include preparing and submitting grant applications, as well as conducting research, identifying, and responding to public and private grant opportunities in the areas of Education, Vocational, and Technology. The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing skills, database management skills, and a strong commitment to our organization’s mission.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and submit grant applications in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to all guidelines and requirements.
    • Research and identify public and private grant opportunities relevant to our organization’s programs and initiatives.
    • Develop compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate our organization’s mission, goals, and impact.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and data for grant applications.
    • Maintain accurate records of grant applications, deadlines, and outcomes using database management systems.
    • Monitor and track progress on grant applications, follow up on pending applications, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
    • Stay informed about funding trends, opportunities, and best practices in grant writing and fundraising.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, Communication, Marketing & Public Relations, Journalism, or related field is preferred.
    • Excellent writing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to implement systems and follow-up processes effectively.
    • Ability to work under pressure, use independent judgment, and produce high-quality work within tight time constraints.
    • Previous experience in grant writing or fundraising is highly preferred , with a proven track record of securing new funding opportunities.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of research methods and the ability to identify funding opportunities for special programs.
