Roll up your sleeves and get ready to join us in the warehouse! Our Greensboro Team is looking for enthusiastic individuals to work alongside them.

Serving in our food sorting operation gives you a unique opportunity to directly impact the lives of our neighbors. You will help ensure that our partner agencies receive safe, healthy products to distribute to our neighbors who may need a little extra support these days. Over our 18 county service area we have over 500 partner agencies which include organizations like pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters.

    Activity Summary:

Volunteers will help sort and pack donated foods. These donations are received from grocery partners, food drives, and more. This food is then made available to our neighbors through our network of food assistance programs. Work may include assembling, lifting up to 30 pounds, standing, bending, stooping, reading small print, working in a high-speed environment.

    Requirements:

    • Closed-toe shoes required
    • Dress comfortably (jeans and t-shirt are just fine). No tank tops or crop tops allowed. Clothing should be without offensive language or inappropriate designs.
    • No personal food or drinks allowed
    • No earbuds due to safety concerns in a warehouse environment and nearby forklift traffic
    • Volunteers must be at least: 12 years old to volunteer. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian; there must be a ratio of at least 1 adult to 5 youth between the ages of 12 - 15.
    • Volunteer information forms for youth under age 18 must be signed by a parent

    Volunteer Shifts:

Shifts are scheduled by demand for groups of 10-12, with open shifts posted as available. If you will need proof of your hours, you must let the front desk know. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time to allow time to sign in. Please ring buzzer if the front door is locked. Check in at the lobby desk. We may not be able to accommodate late arrivals; please check in with staff if you have questions about timing.

Again, you must register through Bloomerang using the link below and select the Greensboro Opportunities opportunity in order to sign up.
