    Description

    Help create and promote a caring, compassionate, efficient environment for patients, families and visitors of the Emergency Department at Methodist Hospital. Greet visitors in a prompt and courteous manner recognize and assist with non-medical support to the department by assisting the medical and administrative staff and spending quality time visiting with visitors and patients to promote excellent service delivery.

    Volunteers enhance quality customer care by assisting the ED personnel in various ways by:

    1. Help to facilitate smooth and proper patient flow through their ED visit.
    2. Provide an area and atmosphere conducive to comfort while waiting.
    3. Facilitate communication with patients and visitors waiting for service.
    4. To serve as liaison between staff and patients as directed.
    5. Assist staff in nonclinical support
    6. Refill general supplies of emergency center
    7. Clean wheelchairs and unoccupied emergency rooms

    3 shifts available:

    • 08:00 to 12:00 CST
    • 12:00 to 16:00 CST
    • 17:00 to 21:00 CST
