Deliver joy and holiday cheer to older adults through DOROT’s Thanksgiving Meal Delivery!
As a Thanksgiving Meal Delivery volunteer, you can make a meaningful connection with an older neighbor through a social visit or phone call and a festive holiday meal. While holidays can increase feelings of loneliness or isolation, volunteering for Thanksgiving Meal Delivery creates shared connections and community.
The program is called Meal Delivery, but we like to say that it’s really "not about the meal." It’s about the connections you make-for volunteers and package recipients alike.
Here’s How it Works:
What Else to Know?
Who Can Volunteer? DOROT welcomes people of all faiths, backgrounds, and identities as both volunteers and older adult participants. Package Delivery volunteers need to be at least 18 years old.

Time Commitment: One-time commitment of about 90 minutes.
Requirements: Volunteers over the age of 18 must have a valid, US government-issued photo ID and watch a short online orientation.
