    Mentorship Program Development Manager (Remote/Unpaid Volunteer)

    Role Summary:

    The Program Development Manager will lead the design, development, and implementation of EF program frameworks, guidelines, and delivery models. This role oversees the full program lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, impactful, and scalable initiatives that align with the organization’s mission and strategic priorities. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for youth development, mentorship, education, and community-building initiatives, capable of balancing high-level planning with hands-on execution.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead end-to-end design, development, and rollout of program frameworks, guidelines, and delivery models.
    • Oversee program strategy, planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Technology, Outreach & Partnerships, Events) for seamless execution of initiatives.
    • Manage the program lifecycle, including needs assessment, scoping, design, scheduling, resource allocation, and reporting.
    • Develop and maintain program documentation, including SOPs, onboarding guides, templates, evaluation tools, and communication materials.
    • Utilize data and feedback mechanisms to track performance, inform decisions, and enhance program outcomes.
    • Ensure programs align with organizational mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
    • Oversee quality assurance processes and program platform design to ensure consistency, impact, and scalability.
    • Facilitate stakeholder communication and engagement. Including volunteers, subject-matter experts, partners, and participants.
    • Support platform or digital tool optimization to enhance participant experience (as applicable).

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Human Resources, Project Management, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field.
    • Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, M.Ed., or MPA) is a plus.
    • 5+ years in program development, program management, curriculum or instructional design, or related fields.
    • Experience in nonprofit, volunteer-driven, or community-based organizations is highly desirable.
    • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
    • Experience developing and implementing onboarding programs, mentorship programs, learning frameworks, or digital program experiences.
    • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) is an asset.
    • Experience with digital platforms, learning management systems, or virtual program tools is a plus.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong program design and project management capabilities.
    • Ability to create structured frameworks, guidelines, templates, and documentation.
    • Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Understanding of user experience (UX), participant engagement, and feedback methodologies.
    • Ability to translate strategic goals into actionable program plans.
    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic, and volunteer-based environments.
    • Passionate about youth development, mentorship, education, or community-building initiatives.
    • Skilled at navigating ambiguity and building structure where none exists.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing diverse teams.
