    Description

    Volunteer Lending Closet Assistant

This is for someone who likes to help people, assisting them with giving them medical equipment from our Lending Closet. No particular experience necessary but attention to details is required.

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County lends medical equipment not only to its hospice patients, but to anyone in the community, free of charge. We also receive donations of medical equipment and need to ensure they are clean and in good working condition before accepting them.

We do not ask for any minimum commitment from our volunteers and understand vacation plans, travel plans, and the unexpected in people's lives. We provide on the job training appropriate to the position. Additionally, you can take an online Hospice Volunteer Training at no charge to familiarize yourself with hospice.

We are almost entirely funded through the generosity of the community (in money, volunteer time and expertise) as we do not seek reimbursement from any government agency or insurance company.
