SASA is looking for a Volunteer Teacher Training Assistant to work with the Education Outreach team to assist teachers in learning how to use SASA’s Archaeogaming Education Modules in their classrooms. This involves working with SASA’s Archaeogaming Education Program, running online webinars, doing 1-on-1 training with teachers, and working with teachers to help implement SASA’s modules in their classrooms. This position is well-suited for someone with a passion for the ancient world, familiarity with gaming and education technology, and teaching experience. They must be flexible, adaptive, and comfortable working independently as new projects and tasks emerge.
Salary: Unpaid
Duration: Ongoing Volunteer
Hours: 5 hours per week

Skills Needed: Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, teaching, familiarity with working remotely
Position Description & Responsibilities:
As a Teacher Training Assistant you will help develop and implement a training program to help teachers use SASA’s Archaeogaming Education Modules in their classrooms. This will include:
- Archaeology students, educators, and gamers who would like to share their interests remotely with middle school classrooms!
- Meet with teachers, home-school groups, libraries, and museum educators to promote the Archaeogaming Education Modules
- Work with a dynamic team of educators and archaeologists to select themes and build up the program
- Promote and represent SASA's AEM program at online and in-person conferences and in new spaces
