About the Holocaust Center For Humanity

At the Holocaust Center for Humanity, we build courageous communities by teaching and honoring the history, stories, and lessons of the Holocaust. These lessons give people of all ages an empathetic lens to view today’s complex issues and see the role they can each play in fighting hate.

The Holocaust Center for Humanity is dedicated to promoting diversity, multiculturalism and inclusion. We are committed to reflecting these values in our staff and leadership and invite qualified applicants of any race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and background to apply.

    Volunteer Description

Ambassadors for Change (AFC) is a cohort of young professionals, ages 22 - 40, dedicated to increasing awareness of the Holocaust Center for Humanity’s mission by expanding its stakeholder base. Through education, dialogue and coalition-building, AFC empowers others to stand together to fight hate, think critically about lessons from Holocaust history, and take action.

As an Ambassador, you’ll engage in deep learning, host educational events, and build partnerships that promote human dignity in the present day.

This volunteer leadership opportunity is right for you if:

    • You are passionate about engaging with your community
    • You believe that education is the most powerful tool we have to fight ignorance and hate
    • You are interested in supporting Holocaust education and its role in shaping how young people understand the world.
    • You are concerned about the fragility of democracy and rise of hatred and antisemitism
    • You are a community connector and/or you are interested in developing leadership skills and engaging in coalition-building
    • You can commit up to 5 hours per month to meetings and planning
    • You are between the ages of 22 and 40
