    Major Gifts Research Volunteer

    About Us

Finding Kids is a nonprofit organization dedicated to locating missing and at-risk youth. Using a collaborative investigative approach, our team gathers and analyzes information, conducts fieldwork, and works alongside law enforcement to generate actionable leads.

Our goal is simple: respond quickly, intervene early, and help bring children safely back to their families.

    Volunteer with Finding Kids

Finding Kids is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented volunteer to help identify and research potential donors, corporate partners, and influential individuals who align with our mission.

This role is critical to expanding our funding pipeline and ensuring we can reach more families in need of urgent support.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Research backgrounds of current and prospective donors
    • Identify corporations, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals aligned with our mission
    • Analyze philanthropic interests, giving history, and connection points
    • Develop strategic briefing summaries for leadership
    • Create actionable pathways for introductions, outreach, and engagement
    • Help build and organize a prioritized prospect pipeline

    Ideal Candidate

    • Strong analytical and research skills
    • Comfortable working with public records, philanthropic databases, and online research tools
    • Strategic thinker who can connect dots and identify relationship opportunities
    • Highly organized and discreet
    • Passionate about mission-driven work

    Impact of This Role

Behind every new connection is the possibility of expanded resources, strengthened partnerships, and the abilities to assist more families. The relationships you help uncover and cultivate won’t just support organizational growth, they will directly increase our capacity to respond, investigate, and bring help to more children and the families who are searching for them.

Your research could be the first step that leads to real change.
