    Our Mission

    4T’s – Teaching Teens to Think empowers students to dream bigger and achieve more by providing real-world tools, mentorship, and hands-on experiences. Through dynamic workshops, career preparation programs, and entrepreneurial training, we help teens re-engage in school, discover their strengths, and build actionable plans for success in education, business, and life.

    Reports To: President

    Location: Remote / Hybrid (with some in-person meetings and events as needed)

    Position Type: Volunteer (with potential to grow as funding increases); This is a remote unpaid internship.

    Position Summary

    Reporting to the President and working closely with executive, marketing, and program teams, this role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing fundraising initiatives across partnerships, grants, events, and digital campaigns.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    • Support the President with fundraising and development activities
    • Conduct research on potential funding sources, including foundations, corporations, and individual donors
    • Assist with drafting and editing grant proposals, reports, and donor communications
    • Support outreach and relationship-building with prospective funders and community partners
    • Assist with the implementation of 4T’s fundraising and development strategy
    • Help plan and execute fundraising campaigns and initiatives
    • Support donor data tracking, gift entry, and basic reporting
    • Assist with fundraising event planning and promotion (virtual and in-person)
    • Prepare draft fundraising updates and materials for the team, the Advisory Board, and Board of Directors
    • Perform other related duties as needed to support and strengthen 4T’s mission

    Skills & Qualifications

    This internship is well-suited for undergraduate students majoring in (or interested in) nonprofit management, public policy, communications, business, marketing, sociology, education, or related fields. Students from other majors with a strong interest in nonprofit work and social impact are also encouraged to apply.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to represent 4T’s in a professional and thoughtful manner
    • Ability to engage others in conversation and assist with outreach efforts
    • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently
    • Commitment to educational equity and supporting underserved and historically marginalized youth communities
    • Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive); Excel experience is a plus
    • Experience with fundraising, grant writing, nonprofit work, or student organizations is a plus
