Looking to make a meaningful difference? Our Volunteer Program offers a special opportunity to enrich the lives of seniors at home as well as in small, close-knit assisted living communities. Our residents receive individualized care and attention-and our volunteers are at the heart of that experience.

At Affinity Care of Virginia, we believe that human connection is essential to well-being. Our volunteers provide companionship, warmth, and a sense of belonging. Whether it’s sharing stories over tea, reading aloud, enjoying a game, or simply being present, your time can brighten someone’s day in powerful ways.

As a volunteer, you can get involved in a variety of meaningful activities, including:

    • Companionship: Build genuine relationships through conversation, storytelling, and one-on-one time with residents/patients.
    • Activities: Lead or assist with arts and crafts, music, games, or gentle exercise tailored to the interests and abilities of our residents/patients.
    • Mealtime Support: Help create a welcoming, social environment during meals by offering friendly companionship.
    • Special Events: Join in holiday celebrations and themed events to help bring joy and a festive spirit to our community.

No special experience is needed-just a kind heart and a desire to give your time. We provide all the training and support you'll need to feel confident and prepared.

Our volunteer program-it’s a chance to build lasting connections and become part of a supportive, caring community. If you're ready to make a real impact, we warmly invite you to join us.
