    Position Summary

    The Fundraising Coordinator at ASCENDtials, reports to the Program team lead and Director, oversees all fund development activities. This role involves identifying and researching potential donors, managing corporate partnerships, preparing proposals, and nurturing donor relationships. Additionally, it includes coordinating educational activities for community and fundraising purposes.

    Responsibilities

    Research and maintain donor profiles.

    • Manage donor and corporate sponsor stewardship. * Identify funding opportunities.
    • Prepare organization support proposals.
    • Coordinate fundraising events.
    • Maintain development databases.
    • Facilitate meetings with donors and partners.
    • Solicit sponsorships and donations.
    • Handle presentation requests and inquiries.
    • Attend and present at community meetings and networking events as required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications Preferred

    Proficiency in conducting comprehensive research and utilizing analytical thinking to identify potential donors and funding opportunities.

    • Collaborative mindset and an innovative approach to problem solving, contributing to a dynamic and creative work environment.
    • Proven ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
    • Strong communication skills, both in written and spoken form * An understanding of the importance of handling confidential information with discretion and integrity.
    • High-level competency in Microsoft Office applications and experience in database management.
    • Possession of a bachelor’s degree in fields such as business administration, communications, marketing, non-profit management, or related areas.
    • Familiarity with San Diego’s philanthropic community. * Possession of a valid California driver's license and access to reliable transportation, with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
