    About ATOA

    Artists Talk On Art (ATOA) is New York’s longest-running nonprofit art discussion forum, founded in 1974. For over five decades, ATOA has hosted groundbreaking conversations that have shaped contemporary art discourse. Under new leadership, we are reimagining our identity for the 21st century, building a modern digital presence while honoring our historic legacy.

    About the Role

    We’re seeking a creative and reliable Marketing Associate to help amplify ATOA’s voice across digital platforms. You’ll work directly with the President of the Board and key board members to execute strategic communications, support programming promotion, and refine our outreach efforts. This role is ideal for someone interested in art, cultural programming, nonprofit branding, and content marketing.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Create visually engaging marketing assets using Canva for digital campaigns and program promotion
    • Design and manage email newsletters and mailing lists via Mailchimp
    • Help schedule and draft posts across social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
    • Support brand visual consistency across all marketing collateral and communications
    • Assist in maintaining and updating website content (Squarespace experience a plus)
    • Track audience engagement and suggest improvements for reach and visibility

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Strong written and visual communication skills
    • Proficiency in Mailchimp and Canva
    • Familiarity with social media management and content scheduling tools
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines independently
    • Passion for the arts or prior experience with arts/culture nonprofits is a plus
    • Availability for a few hours a week; flexible schedule
