Digital Media Support Volunteer - Photography, Videography, Graphic Design

The Asian American Senior Citizens Service Center (AASCSC) is a non-profit organization that serves all age groups and all members of our community. We believe in an inter-generational approach to building a stronger, healthier community through direct services, advocacy, and capacity building. At the heart of these efforts is the imperative to ensure health equity within our community.

AASCSC is seeking creative volunteers to join our Digital Media Support team (vDMS). These volunteers assist in visually documenting programs, sharing community stories, and supporting outreach through high-quality digital content.

Volunteer Duties

• Complete requests, based upon your skill sets, for taking photos/videos, editing videos, and/or designing graphics digitally (for use online or for printing)
• Complete at least one request per month
  • Requests to take photos/videos at an event/activity may involve 2-5 hours onsite the event and any time required to organize the photos/videos afterwards
  • Requests to create a graphic design may take 2-4 hours on average

Requirements

• Have, at a minimum, the foundational knowledge and skills to independently perform tasks that are common to the sub-role(s) that you are applying for ; sub-roles include:
  • Photography
  • Videography
  • Video Editing
  • Graphic Design
• Have access to, and be willing to use, your own equipment, tools, software, and anything else necessary to perform the sub-role(s) that you are applying for
• Pass an application/interview process and orientation/training process
