Shade Tree Measurement & Evaluation 2026

Trees Matter gave away over 5,000 free desert-adapted shade trees to SRP customers all across the Valley! Now we have another goal: to find out how the trees are doing!

We need YOU to help us check on the trees in your city and to let us know how they're doing.

How it works:

1. Sign up for a shift in a city and timeframe that works best for your.
2. We will send you 6-8 addresses within the city to visit during your shift time. (The homeowners are expecting you!)
3. Transport yourself from house to house, taking notes and pictures of the trees as you go. (We will provide virtual instruction on what to do!)
4. Submit your field notes back to us at Trees Matter.
5. Depending on the proximity of the homes during your shift, it may take slightly less or slightly more than the allotted shift time, but you'll be able to plan your route in advance.
6. Take pride in your hard work and have fun!
