    Description

    Reports to: Executive Director

    Hours: 4–6 hrs/week

    Commitment: 6–12 months

    Role Summary

    Provides support to families navigating domestic violence, helping them access resources, build safety plans, and stabilize in housing, school, and community settings.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support parents with school coordination, safety needs, and referrals
    • Assist with emergency resources (food, clothing, transportation)
    • Provide trauma-informed family support during transitions
    • Help connect families to community programs
    • Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical boundaries

    Qualifications

    • Experience in family services, DV work, or child/family advocacy
    • Strong communication and boundary-setting skills
    • Trauma-informed training preferred (or willingness to train)
