    Description

Resolve Parkinson’s, in collaboration with The BioCollective, is developing The Voices of Parkinson’s, a video series that elevates the authentic, lived experiences of people navigating life with Parkinson’s. We are seeking a skilled video editor to help refine existing footage, incorporate titles and music, and shape these stories into a cohesive, compelling series. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical editing abilities and an appreciation for the Parkinson’s community to ensure each video remains true to the patient voice and reflects the dignity, complexity, and resilience of those who share their stories.

    Responsibilities

    • Edit and refine existing video footage to produce polished, high‑quality short videos.
    • Add titles, captions, transitions, and music that enhance clarity and emotional impact.
    • Collaborate with Resolve Parkinson’s and The BioCollective to maintain narrative coherence and fidelity to the patient voice.
    • Ensure all content aligns with the project’s mission to authentically represent the lived experience of Parkinson’s.
    • Prepare final video files in formats suitable for web, social media, and community presentations.

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing storytelling and technical skill
    • Proficiency with professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
    • Ability to incorporate titles, captions, and music in ways that support narrative flow and accessibility
    • Strong attention to detail, organization, and consistency across multiple video pieces
    • Experience working with health‑related, nonprofit, or community‑focused projects is preferred
    • Familiarity with Parkinson’s—or a willingness to learn quickly and respectfully—is strongly valued to ensure authenticity and sensitivity in the final product
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with a small team and respond constructively to feedback
