    Role Description

    This is a volunteer, remote role for a Python Foundations Instructor at Outcome School. The instructor will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging, beginner-friendly lessons on Python programming. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, teaching foundational programming concepts, offering guidance to students, and debugging coding assignments. The role also involves mentoring and inspiring participants to build confidence in their programming skills and develop a growth mindset for future learning in technology.

    Qualifications

    • Strong knowledge of Python programming, including foundational concepts like data types, loops, functions, and object-oriented programming.
    • Experience in teaching or mentoring, with the ability to explain technical concepts to beginners clearly and effectively.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
    • Familiarity with virtual learning tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, or Google Classroom) for a remote teaching setup.
    • A passion for empowering underrepresented communities, with an understanding of diversity and inclusion principles.
    • Prior experience with educational content creation, lesson planning, or curriculum development is a plus.
    • Ability to commit a few hours per week to support students and follow through with the volunteer opportunity.
