The Washington West African Center (WAWAC) is seeking enthusiastic and service-oriented volunteers to support our Second Annual Fundraising Gala Dinner. This signature event brings together community members, partners, and supporters to celebrate our mission and raise vital funds for WAWAC’s programs.

As a volunteer, you will play a key role in ensuring the gala is a welcoming, seamless, and memorable experience for all attendees. Working under the guidance of WAWAC staff and event coordinators, you will contribute to the success of the evening by assisting with guest services, event logistics, and overall support.

Volunteer Responsibilities

• Event Setup: Assist with preparing the venue, arranging seating, and organizing materials prior to the event.
• Guest Services: Welcome attendees, provide directions, and ensure guests feel comfortable and supported.
• Registration Support: Help with check-in, ticketing, and distributing event materials.
• Logistics & Coordination: Support the evening's flow by guiding guests, assisting with transitions, and addressing their needs.
• General Support: Be available to assist staff and fellow volunteers with tasks as they arise throughout the event.
