    Description

    Volunteer Grant Writer

    Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners (IOCP) delivers integrated services that address the basic needs for food, shelter, and clothing, while also providing strengthening services that connect households to affordable housing, quality childcare, employment, and more. The IOCP Grant Writer/Research volunteer will assist in writing entry level grants along with letters of introduction. They will also assist with grant research through Grantstation and other web tools, to identify and vet potential grants to help support IOCP’s work.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Draft and write compelling letters of introduction and entry level grant applications
    • Conduct research to identify new grant opportunities that align with IOCP’s mission and work
    • Review grant information and determine which grants are a good match for IOCP
    • Track volunteer hours monthly and report on IOCP’s online volunteer system

    Qualifications:

    • Exceptional written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and concisely
    • Ability to edit existing content to fit unique grant application guidelines
    • Comfortable using technology and ability to work in and navigate the internet, Microsoft Office and/or Google suite
    • Strong research skills, including the ability to find and interpret grant guidelines
    • High degree of organization and meticulous attention to detail to ensure all application requirements are met
