Role Overview
Human Health Project is seeking a motivated Social Media & Digital Outreach Assistant to help amplify our mission through strategic, engaging digital content. This volunteer will work closely with leadership to design posts, develop content strategies, and support the growth of our online presence across social media platforms.
This role is ideal for someone interested in public health, nonprofit advocacy, digital marketing, or healthcare outreach who wants hands-on experience making real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Design visually engaging social media graphics (Canva, Photoshop, or similar)
- Create and schedule content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Help develop and refine social media strategy to increase reach and engagement
- Assist with writing captions, calls-to-action, and short-form educational content
- Support basic social media automation, such as:
- Scheduling posts in advance
- Using content calendars
- Repurposing content across platforms
- Collaborate with team members to promote events, initiatives, and campaigns
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with social media platforms (personal, academic, or organizational accounts)
- Familiarity with design tools (Canva strongly preferred)
- Interest in healthcare, public health, or nonprofit work
- Basic understanding of content planning or analytics (helpful but not required)
- Bonus: Experience with automation tools (e.g., scheduling platforms, workflows)
