    Description

    Grant Writer – Ocean State Disaster Team (OSDT)

    The Ocean State Disaster Team is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Grant Writer to work closely with the OSDT Director in researching, preparing, and submitting grant applications. This position will operate on an as-needed, on-demand basis, supporting the organization’s mission to assist families affected by disasters throughout the state.

    Responsibilities:

    • Research and identify new grant opportunities that align with OSDT’s mission, needs, and program goals.
    • Work directly with the Director to prepare, write, and submit grant applications in a timely and organized manner.
    • Review eligibility requirements and ensure all applications meet the criteria and recommendations of the organization.
    • Utilize provided organizational information, including addresses and EIN, for accurate and professional submissions.
    • Maintain spreadsheets, tracking grant deadlines, submitted applications, award statuses, and reporting requirements.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong experience in grant research and grant writing.
    • Excellent written communication and editing skills.
    • Proficient computer skills, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.
    • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently on an as-needed basis.
