    Position Summary

LP4Y USA is seeking a dedicated, full-time project manager & coordinator volunteer to lead the development of the first LP4Y USA YouthLAB, a key initiative to strengthen the organization’s local presence and deepen its impact in the U.S. The YouthLAB will serve as a hub for training, immersion programs, workshops, and forums focused on sharing best practices in youth inclusion. It will bring together NGOs, companies, universities, schools, and local governments—building a vibrant ecosystem of integration. The USA YouthLAB will foster sustainable, high-value relationships with corporate partners and youth inclusion stakeholders while positioning LP4Y as a key local and international actor.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Secure a physical YouthLAB space in New York City by working with local government agencies, city officials, non-profits, and corporate sponsors.
    • Engage and build partnerships with nonprofits, corporations, universities, local government, schools, and key community actors focused on youth inclusion.
    • Identify budget requirements and funding sources, including city grants, corporate sponsorships, foundations, and philanthropic donors to ensure the YouthLAB’s financial viability.
    • Position the YouthLAB as a collaborative hub for NGOs, companies, and other local actors seeking to improve youth inclusion strategies.

    Ideal Profile

    • Experienced project manager with a track record of successfully launching community initiatives, innovation hubs, or nonprofit programs.
    • Strong existing network across the non-profit sector, corporate partners, local government agencies, and educational institutions in the NY/NJ/CT area.
    • Awareness of or strong affinity with LP4Y’s mission to support excluded youth through entrepreneurship and professional integration.

    Commitment

    • Part-time position with potential to convert to full-time volunteer, based in New York City with essential in-person presence for partnership building, space scouting, and community engagement.
    • Minimum commitment of 12 months preferred to lead the project from inception to sustainable operation.

    What LP4Y Offers

Joining LP4Y offers a unique opportunity to develop high-impact, transferable skills and build meaningful professional networks in a purpose-driven, entrepreneurial environment. Benefits of our volunteer positions include:

    • Leadership in the creation of LP4Y’s first US-based YouthLAB.
    • Access to high-level philanthropic, corporate, nonprofit, local government, and CSR networks.
    • A start-up style of work allowing significant independence, agility, and room for personal initiative and leadership.
    • Development of core project management, communications, fundraising, and multi-stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Exposure to LP4Y’s global ecosystem, including connections with the United Nations, CSR leaders, corporate partners, and youth inclusion actors across 14 countries.
    • An opportunity to directly contribute to systemic change for excluded Youth and to be part of an international movement for youth inclusion.
    • Potential to visit the field (depending on interest, organizational needs, and available resources) to strengthen understanding of LP4Y’s local impact.
