    Description

    Position Overview:

    The EKW Foundation is seeking a passionate and committed individual to serve as a Volunteer Director of Curriculum. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of educational curriculum tailored to meet the diverse needs of our target communities. The Director of Curriculum will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational programs offered by the foundation, ensuring they are engaging, effective, and aligned with our mission and values.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the design and development of comprehensive educational curricula across various subjects and skill levels, catering to the specific needs and goals of the communities we serve.
    • Conduct ongoing research and needs assessments to identify areas for curriculum improvement and innovation, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.
    • Work closely with other members of the EKW Foundation team, including educators, content creators, and community stakeholders, to gather insights, feedback, and expertise in curriculum development.
    • Establish and maintain standards of excellence for educational content, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with best practices and educational standards.
    • Provide guidance, training, and support to educators and volunteers involved in curriculum implementation, ensuring fidelity to the intended goals and outcomes.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and curriculum, using data and feedback to inform iterative improvements and optimizations.
    • Engage with community members, partners, and stakeholders to solicit input, build relationships, and foster a collaborative approach to curriculum development and implementation.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong commitment to the mission and values of the EKW Foundation.
    • Background in education, curriculum development, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing educational curricula, preferably in diverse or underserved communities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
    • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for curriculum development and project management.
