    Description

    Description:

    The Alexander Review is preparing to launch its first issue and is seeking a Business Strategy & Revenue Development Assistant (Volunteer) to help brainstorm creative ways to support our mission financially. This is a volunteer learning role where you’ll collaborate with our team to research ideas, propose simple models for fundraising, and contribute to the long-term sustainability of the journal.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support brainstorming sessions on revenue ideas (subscriptions, pre-sales, small sponsorships).
    • Research how other small presses and journals generate funding.
    • Suggest simple pricing strategies for our first issue (digital, deluxe, bundles).
    • Share findings and proposals with leadership in short summaries.

    Qualifications:

    • Interest in business, entrepreneurship, or nonprofit development.
    • Creative problem-solver with curiosity about publishing.
    • Organized, reliable, and collaborative.
    • No prior experience required — willingness to learn is most important.
