Fundraising Volunteer - Black Historic Cemetery Preservation

We are seeking a passionate and proactive Fundraising Volunteer to support the preservation of Cobb Bethel AME Church Cemetery, one of Georgia’s oldest historic Black cemeteries. This role is ideal for someone who believes in the power of community history and wants to help raise the resources needed to protect it for future generations.

As a Fundraising Volunteer, you will play a key role in helping us reach our financial goals through community-based campaigns, donor outreach, and storytelling that inspires support. Working closely with our small but dedicated team, you will assist in the development of donation appeals, sponsorship opportunities, grant research, and creative fundraising strategies. Your work will directly contribute to preserving sacred ground and honoring untold stories.

Responsibilities include:

• Support the planning and execution of grassroots fundraising campaigns and events
• Assist in donor communications and outreach
• Research potential grant opportunities and community sponsorships
• Help maintain donor tracking and reporting systems
• Collaborate with the MarCom and Social Media teams on promotional messaging related to fundraising efforts
