    Description

    The Secretary of We Are Phenomenal Women serves as the custodian of official records and ensures organizational compliance with bylaws and state regulations. This role is central to maintaining transparent communication between the board, staff, and external stakeholders.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of board meetings, including agendas, minutes, and attendance.
    • Distribute meeting agendas and materials in advance to board members.
    • Record and preserve official board decisions and actions.
    • Ensure compliance with nonprofit laws and organizational bylaws regarding documentation.
    • Maintain a secure archive of important organizational documents (e.g., bylaws, policies, incorporation papers).
    • Assist the Board Chair and President with scheduling and communications.
    • Serve as a liaison between the board and staff when necessary.
    • Manage correspondence on behalf of the board, including thank-you letters, acknowledgment of donations, and notices of meetings.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong organizational and writing skills.
    • Attention to detail and confidentiality.
    • Familiarity with nonprofit governance practices (preferred).
