🌟 Youth Volunteer Role: DC State Lead

🎯 Purpose

As a Youth DC State Lead, you’ll help represent our organization at community events across Washington, D.C. This role is designed for young people who want to build leadership skills, connect with their community, and gain hands-on experience in event organizing. You’ll focus on leading our booth presence — making sure it’s welcoming, fun, and engaging for attendees.

🛠️ Responsibilities

• Booth Leadership
  • Help run our booth at events like Art All Night, Mount Pleasant Artist Collective, and other local festivals.
  • Make sure booth activities are set up, organized, and interactive.
• Volunteer Coordination
  • Work with other youth volunteers to staff the booth.
  • Keep in touch with volunteers before and after events to build a strong team.
• Community Engagement
  • Greet event attendees, including parents and families, and share information about our programs.
  • Be a friendly face representing youth leadership in D.C.
• Event Preparation
  • Collaborate with two other DC State Leads to plan booth activities.
  • Help find event leads for each booth to ensure smooth coverage.

• Open to youth (high school or college-aged preferred).
• Enthusiasm for community engagement, teamwork, and the arts.
• Strong communication skills and reliability.
• Willingness to volunteer evenings or weekends during events.

📍 Commitment

• Volunteer role based in the DMV
• In-person participation required at scheduled events.
• Flexible hours depending on event schedule.
