    Description

    We are in search of a proficient and organized individual to fill the role of Boat Program Manager. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of vessel operations, manage crew members, and coordinate logistics to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of our maritime operations.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Vessel Operations Management:
      • Plan and coordinate vessel operations, including scheduling, and adherence to safety regulations.
      • Oversee the maintenance of vessels to ensure compliance with JAARS standards.
      • Monitor vessel performance and operational efficiency, implementing improvements as necessary.
    • Crew Management:
      • Recruit, train, and supervise crew members to ensure a skilled and reliable workforce.
      • Assign duties and responsibilities to crew, manage schedules, and provide support and guidance.
      • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and morale.
    • Logistics Coordination:
      • Coordinate logistics for vessel operations to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of tasks.
      • Manage inventories maintaining adequate stock levels and minimizing wastage.
      • Liaise with suppliers and service providers facilitate operations and resolve logistical issues.
    • Safety and Compliance:
      • Enforce safety protocols, procedures, and regulations.
      • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of vessels, equipment, and facilities.
      • Stay informed about maritime regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
    • Budgeting and Cost Control:
      • Develop and manage budgets for vessel operations, crew salaries, and logistics expenses.
      • Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost-saving and operational improvements.

    Position Requirements

    • Embrace the vision, mission, and core values of JAARS
    • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Proven experience in vessel operations management, crew supervision, and logistics coordination.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
    • Knowledge of maritime regulations, safety standards, and operational procedures.
    • Proficiency in logistical planning, budget management, and problem-solving.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
    • Valid captain's license or relevant maritime certifications preferred.
